Saturday July 30th. Started out this morning again alone as this is the last junction of the California and Oregon roads. Our company were going to California and were compelled to separate. We parted, however, with all good wishes and feeling after a pleasant part of the trip with them. We traveled over a very rough road today to Marshy Creek 17 miles without water.
