Friday 22nd. Started quite early. Eight miles from camp are 2 branches 10 ft. wide crossing several smaller ones in the distance, to another branch 1 mile. The road here leaves the river and passes through a canyon to where we come in sight of the river 5 miles, to a spring 4 miles, to another branch 6 ft wide 8 miles. Camped near this branch. Drove 22 miles today.
