Thursday the 16th. Crossed the other two wagons of our train this morning and 2 more wagons for another train. The owner said he would pay us whatever we would ask if we would set his family and wagon safe on the other side, which we did very soon and charged him $4.00. He gave us $5.00 and some corn meal, and seemed very thankful. We wrote letters to our friends to-day, got all over safe, loaded up, drove out 2 miles and camped.
